Cromwell House, Boxmoor

Gates, Access Control, Video Intercoms, Smoke Ventilation

This luxury gated development consisting of nine individual apartments is situated on the edge of Boxmoor village close to Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted. Cromwell House is another project that Silver Group have worked with Jarvis Homes part of the Jarvis Group. Once again Silver Group were selected based upon the exceptional high standards on system design and efficient installation within budget.

In fact, even before construction started, Silver Group were on the property providing site security by means of our specialist SiteSecure system. This provides a complete monitored intruder alarm system 24/7 with police response whilst the site is unoccupied. Crucially though this system prevents any “false alarm” activations. More details about out SiteSecure system are here.

For this particular project, Silver Group provided the automatic vehicle gate system with remote access fobs as well as the video intercom system for visitors to announce their arrival to the specific resident. In addition, we also managed the process of installation and commissioning of the wrought iron gates to the property. At the main entrance to the building there is an additional video intercom unit to the apartments. The bespoke secure door-entry system with magnetic locks with internal release buttons ensure complete security. Of course, corresponding video intercom handsets with door and gate releases were also installed and programmed within each apartment.

As part of the required fire safety systems, we provided the fully integrated smoke ventilation system. In the event of fire, the smoke control system is automatically activated. The roof mounted Automatic Opening Vents (AOV) ensure the rapid removal of poisonous gases from the corridors and stairwell. This life saving system thereby aids the evacuation for residents and assist the fire brigade access to the complete building.
