Set in the heart of Luton, Lintone Place offers a collection of 69 one and two-bedroom apartments for shared ownership and housing association homes. Located in the centre of this increasingly vibrant town, with motorway links less than two miles away, the airport just 3 miles and the journey to the heart of the capital by train just 35 minutes away.
The complex consists of three apartment blocks based around a central courtyard with communal bin stores, cycle sheds and is situated on Holly Street, which was the former show room for Statstone Jaguar, this is the first of two current developments for Hightown Housing Association* in Luton, both of which Silver Group have installed the intercom and cctv systems for.
Silver Group have strong working relationships with Key Partnership Homes (main contractor), Jarvis (Construction contractor) and E7 Building Services (M&E Sub-contractor) on a number of projects previously. In addition, they already provide comprehensive servicing and maintenance to many of Hightown Housing Associations properties across the region for their smoke ventilation, fire safety as well as security systems. Therefore, it was a logical choice to have the Silver Group as their preferred supplier.
In all, across the three apartment blocks, ten external dome cameras covering all possible angles of the car parks, roadside entrances and external public areas were installed as well as the necessary networked video recorder and monitor. For the door entry systems, wall mounted video and audio handsets were installed in all 69 apartments, along with the entry panels with incorporated Prox readers as well as five additional Prox readers at all entrances.
The installation was a very straight forward one for Silver Group, providing complete security and peace of mind for all the residents of Lintone Place, knowing that only the communal areas are only accessible to those authorised to be there and yet still providing the convenience of easy access for the residents and their vehicles. The complete coverage of the high definition closed circuit television system providing constant video surveillance recording should any events occur that would evidence to be handed over to the police.
